Sonja discovered her passion for macrame at the age of 8. Without anyone teaching her, she mastered intricate patterns, making bracelets for her friends and even selling them at local flea markets for 2.50 DM.

Nearly 30 years later, that childhood creativity sparked again. She combined wool with chunky chains, giving her bracelets a bold, modern twist.

In 2012, she applied to the famous hippie market in Ibiza and began selling her first pieces there. Her unique jewelry quickly caught the eye of visitors and locals alike, earning recognition for its playful yet sophisticated designs. Soon after, she secured a permanent spot at the legendary Las Dalias market, where she has been showcasing and selling her creations ever since.

And thus, Bonk Ibiza was born; where childhood creativity meets Ibiza’s vibrant spirit.
